Michael Casey Williams

Michael Casey Williams is a partner at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP Jackson office, where he maintains a diverse litigation and intellectual property practice in state and federal courts. Since joining the firm in 2015, he has represented clients in mass torts, commercial contract disputes, real estate transactions, and employment matters. He also has significant experience in product liability cases involving the automotive, heavy equipment, and consumer goods industries, achieving favorable outcomes at trial and through dispositive motions.

Williams earned his B.S. in Biological Engineering with a biomedical concentration from Mississippi State University in 2010, before obtaining his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2013. While in law school, he served as Associate Notes and Comments Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal, was active on the Moot Court Board, and was honored as “Member of the Year” on the Trial Advocacy Board. Licensed in Mississippi and Texas, he is also admitted before multiple federal district courts and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Williams counsels clients on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, managing patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. His practice includes patent and trademark prosecution, as well as litigation involving complex technology disputes. He frequently works with startups and early-stage businesses, advising them on strategies to protect their intellectual assets while navigating growth. Drawing on both prosecution and litigation experience, he develops IP strategies that strengthen protections while minimizing risks in enforcement.

Beyond his practice, Michael Casey Williams is active in professional and community leadership. He serves as special counsel to the Mississippi Bar’s Character and Fitness Committee, co-chairs the ABA’s Membership Subcommittee in the IP Litigation Section, and sits on the board of 100 Black Men of Jackson. Recognized by Best Lawyers in America® and Super Lawyers, he is widely respected for his advocacy, leadership, and dedication to advancing intellectual property law.
