About
Len Cason has built a respected career as a legal advisor with extensive knowledge in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and tax-related disputes. His work includes estate planning, trust administration, and asset protection strategies designed to preserve wealth. He is also recognized for his steady guidance in trust and estate litigation and tax controversies.
Len received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma in 1969 and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1972. While in law school, he became a member of the Oklahoma Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He later pursued advanced studies, obtaining a Master of Laws in Taxation from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1979.
Len launched his legal career as a Captain in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps (1972–1976), gaining extensive courtroom and advisory experience. He then joined the Dallas firm Rain Harrell Emery Young & Doke before concentrating his practice on tax law, estate planning, and related matters. Since 1981, Len has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he teaches advanced courses in taxation, business transactions, and mergers.
Len has been honored with distinctions in publications ranking top lawyers nationally and regionally for his skill in corporate law, tax law, and trusts and estates. He is a fellow of both the American College of Tax Counsel and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. His writing has appeared in respected legal journals and magazines, where he has contributed in-depth articles on tax planning and estate strategies.
Len Cason is also active in civic work, serving on boards and organizations that support research, education, and community development. His decades of commitment reflect not only legal excellence but also a dedication to advancing both his profession and the wider community.
