About
Michael Beyda is a skilled family law attorney representing individuals in matters of divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, and property division. His practice also includes pre-nuptial, post-nuptial, and separation agreements. Since 2001, he has exclusively focused on matrimonial law, helping clients navigate emotionally difficult legal situations.
Michael earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in 1997 and went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 2000. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Family Law Section, and has been admitted to practice law in New York since 2001.
Michael is recognized for his practical and solution-based strategies in resolving complex family matters. He works closely with clients to avoid litigation where possible, striving for fair settlements through open communication and honesty. When settlement is not an option, he is a strong courtroom advocate and has litigated many high-stakes custody and financial cases.
Michael has successfully handled cases involving relocation, enforcement, and defense of prenuptial agreements and contempt applications. His ability to manage both emotional and financial aspects of a case has made him a trusted legal advisor for families in transition. He has also been appointed by the Supreme Court, New York County, as a Special Master to oversee complex pre-trial discovery.
Michael’s work has been recognized with honors, including being named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2011, an award based on peer recognition and professional success. He has shared his expertise in family law through several published columns in Image Magazine, further contributing to the legal community.
Michael Beyda brings a thoughtful, balanced, and results-driven approach to each case, helping individuals maintain focus during some of life’s most challenging moments.
