Michael Baker

Michael T. Baker is the founder of Baker Law Group P.C., concentrating his practice on estate planning, elder law, probate administration, and business planning. He serves clients throughout the MetroWest and South Shore Boston regions, offering comprehensive legal strategies focused on asset protection, long-term planning, and efficient wealth transfer.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University in Political Science, Policy Studies, and Economics. He received his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and completed substantial coursework toward a Master of Business Administration at the University of Massachusetts Boston. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2005.

Michael brings a distinctive background as both an attorney and former independent financial planning advisor. Before entering legal practice, he provided integrated financial, estate, and investment planning to individuals and closely held businesses. This experience allows him to deliver coordinated legal and financial solutions tailored to personal and business objectives.

Michael’s practice includes drafting wills and trusts, estate and tax planning, probate and trust administration, guardianships, and conservatorships. He also advises clients on elder law matters, including incapacity planning, MassHealth eligibility, long-term care planning, and asset preservation for nursing home care needs.

Michael regularly assists business owners with formation, governance, and succession planning. His work includes advising corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and nonprofit organizations, with a focus on continuity planning and protecting long-term business value for future generations.
