Micaela Fonseca

Micaela Fonseca is an associate attorney at Yaffa Family Law Group in Boca Raton, Florida. Her practice focuses on family law matters, including dissolution of marriage, timesharing, child support, and high-conflict disputes. Fonseca earned her J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law in 2019, where she participated in leadership activities and competitive advocacy. She received her B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, with a minor in French from Florida Atlantic University in 2016. Her academic and advocacy background provides a foundation for analyzing complex family law issues, preparing persuasive arguments, and communicating clearly with clients facing contested legal proceedings.

Before joining Yaffa Family Law Group, Fonseca developed litigation experience through both insurance defense and family law practice. Her work included motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation, providing experience with the procedural demands of contested cases. She now applies that background to sophisticated family law matters, including disputes involving divorce, parenting arrangements, and financial obligations, while helping clients understand their options and prepare for negotiation or litigation.

Micaela Fonseca is a member of The Florida Bar and the South Palm Beach County Bar Association. She also serves on the board of the association’s Young Lawyers Section and belongs to the Greenberg Gamot Family Law American Inn of Court. Fonseca is trilingual in English, Spanish, and French. Her litigation background, family law focus, and language skills support her work with clients navigating complex and high-conflict family disputes.
