About
Meredith Miller began her legal path by building a strong foundation in appellate work and litigation, developing a reputation for thorough analysis and clear reasoning. She has approached each phase of her career with a focus on accuracy, thoughtful judgment, and consistent dedication to the individuals and communities she serves.
Meredith completed her academic training in ascending order, earning her B.A. from Union College in 1997, followed by her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2000, and later her LL.M. from Temple Law School in 2006. These degrees shaped her command of contract, business, and employment law as she advanced professionally.
Meredith began her practice in Albany, clerking for the New York Court of Appeals, where she strengthened her ability to evaluate complex legal issues. Working closely with the state’s highest court gave her a deep understanding of appellate standards and reinforced her commitment to precise legal writing and careful case assessment.
Meredith moved into private practice as a litigation associate at Proskauer Rose, LLP. In this role, she handled demanding matters that required strong analytical skills and collaborative problem-solving. Her experience at a major firm broadened her litigation abilities and exposed her to a wide range of client needs across multiple legal areas.
Meredith transitioned into academia after accepting a two-year teaching fellowship at Temple Law School. This opportunity led to her long-term work as a law professor, where she teaches contract, business, and employment law. She has authored substantial scholarship and presented widely on these subjects, contributing meaningfully to legal education.
Meredith Miller continues to combine teaching, writing, and professional service with her extensive legal background, offering an informed perspective and dependable judgment that reflect her longstanding commitment to the law and the people it is meant to protect. Meredith also maintains active involvement in professional organizations. She has held leadership roles, including serving as Immediate Past President of LeGaL and as Second Vice President of the Network of Bar Leaders.
