Melanie M. Demps

Melanie M. Demps, Partner at McMichen, Cinami & Demps, PLLC, has been practicing marital and family law since 2002. Known for her compassionate advocacy and detail-oriented approach, she assists clients with divorce, child custody, support, and other family-related matters throughout Central Florida. Her focus is on achieving balanced and constructive resolutions that protect her clients’ interests and their families.

Melanie earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Barry University School of Law in 2002, following her receipt of a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida in 1997. Her strong academic background and early legal experience have shaped her into a trusted advisor and advocate for families navigating complex domestic issues in Orlando and beyond.

Before becoming a Partner in 2008, Melanie worked as an attorney with Dorothy J. McMichen, P.A., where she refined her skills in family law and litigation. Today, she handles cases ranging from uncontested dissolutions to high-conflict divorce and custody disputes. Trained in collaborative family law, she emphasizes cooperation and efficiency as alternatives to traditional litigation, helping clients resolve sensitive matters with respect and discretion.
