Meghann Joyce

Meghann Joyce is an associate attorney at Lynn, Jackson, Shultz & Lebrun, P.C. in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She works in the firm’s litigation practice, representing businesses, professionals, and individuals in disputes involving trusts and estates, employment, construction, and commercial matters. Her work also includes personal injury litigation. She helps clients understand their options in contested matters and prepare strategies suited to the issues involved.

Meghann earned a J.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2009 and a B.A. from the University of South Dakota in 2006, receiving high academic honors at both stages. She began her legal career as a law clerk to South Dakota Supreme Court Justice Glen A. Severson, assisting with appellate briefs, oral argument preparation, and judicial opinions. She later completed mediation training through Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

In private practice, Meghann has worked with clients in banking, agriculture, manufacturing, construction, and transportation. Her litigation experience extends to South Dakota state and federal courts, and she has argued appeals before the South Dakota Supreme Court and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. Her work includes estate and trust disputes, employment litigation, and construction matters in which careful case development and dispute resolution are important.

Meghann has served as president of the Second Circuit Bar Association and Second Circuit Women in Law, and as a co-chair of the State Bar of South Dakota continuing legal education committee. She also chairs the board of the Boys and Girls Club of the Sioux Empire. Meghann Joyce brings appellate experience, mediation training, and practical courtroom perspective to clients facing difficult civil disputes.
