Megan Matthews

Megan Matthews is a skilled attorney with years of experience helping clients in personal injury and disability claims. She has focused much of her career on standing up for individuals facing serious challenges, including those involved in car accidents, wrongful death cases, insurance bad faith claims, medical malpractice, and premises liability. Megan also has strong experience in Social Security disability claims, guiding people through the legal system to get the benefits they deserve.

Megan earned her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Colorado. She later received her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Megan’s career has spanned local and international legal work. She has served as a consultant and legal expert on cases involving human rights and international law. This includes work with the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, where she helped with the defense appeal in the Prospero Mugiraneza case. She also contributed to the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, assisting in the prosecution of individuals accused of genocide.

Alongside her work in international law, Megan contributed to the Sustainable Development Strategies Group, analyzing global mining and natural resource laws to promote responsible, sustainable development. By integrating human rights and environmental law, she has helped safeguard communities and ecosystems worldwide.

Megan is also involved in legal education. She teaches as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and coaches the school’s award-winning Jessup International Moot Court Team. Her work in legal publishing includes time as the Managing Editor of a peer-reviewed legal journal focused on international criminal law.
