Megan Fahey Monty

Megan Fahey Monty is a dedicated personal injury attorney at Cooney & Conway in Chicago. She represents individuals who have suffered serious injuries or wrongful death, with a strong focus on mesothelioma and asbestos-related cases. With years of experience advocating for victims, she has built a reputation for fighting for justice in complex litigation, including automobile accidents, construction negligence, product liability, school and government liability, sexual abuse, and railroad negligence.

Megan earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2014, where she was President of the Public Interest Law Society and a Legal Writing Tutor. She completed her B.A. in History at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2008.

Before joining Cooney & Conway in 2019, Megan worked at a respected Chicago personal injury law firm, where she represented plaintiffs in various civil cases. Her experience includes advocating for retired NFL players in litigation related to concussions and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). She also served as a Staff Attorney and Law Clerk for the Office of the Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County, gaining valuable insight into the judicial system.

Beyond her legal practice, Megan is committed to mentoring and community service. She has served as an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, teaching students how to provide legal assistance to individuals affected by the criminal justice system. She is actively involved in the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, serving on the Executive Board, Board of Managers, and Women’s Caucus.
