Maureen Brady

Maureen Brady is a founding partner of McShane & Brady, LLC, based in Kansas City, Missouri. She focuses her legal practice on personal injury cases, including car and truck accidents, slip and fall injuries, dog bites, and nursing home abuse. She is also one of the nation’s leading attorneys in handling wrongful medical disclosures, HIPAA violations, and data breaches. Known for her client-first approach, Maureen helps people recover from injuries by working to secure the compensation they deserve.

Maureen earned her B.A. from Creighton University in 1990 and her J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law in 2005.

Maureen has successfully litigated complex civil cases and led efforts in major class actions. She is recognized as a national leader in HIPAA law, where she has won numerous cases against individuals and corporations for mishandling private medical data. Her work has been honored by legal organizations, including the 2018 Innovation Award from Missouri Lawyers Media. In 2024, she was again recognized for her leadership in the T-Mobile data breach settlement, the largest of its kind in Missouri in 2023. Before founding her firm, she clerked for Judge Michael W. Manners in Jackson County Circuit Court and later worked at a respected Kansas City law firm, handling civil and criminal litigation. She is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.
