Marshall Goff

Marshall Goff is a co-founder of Barlow & Goff, PLLC in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He represents individuals in personal injury, workers’ compensation, longshore, and criminal defense matters across Mississippi and Alabama. His personal injury practice includes car accidents, truck accidents, slip-and-fall claims, and other cases involving preventable harm. Goff helps clients understand their legal options, prepare claims, and pursue compensation or a strong defense through negotiation, administrative proceedings, and litigation.

Goff earned a Bachelor of Science in History from Mississippi College and a Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law. During law school, he worked with a Mississippi public defender’s office and served on the Moot Court Board. His education and early courtroom exposure developed a strong foundation in legal research, persuasive advocacy, and case preparation. This training supports his ability to examine evidence, address procedural issues, and explain complex legal matters in practical terms.

His professional background includes criminal defense, government service, immigration representation, workers’ compensation, and personal injury litigation. After law school, Goff worked for the New Jersey Public Defender’s Office, representing people charged with criminal offenses. He later served as a staff attorney for the Mississippi Department of Corrections, where he handled public-records responses and general litigation. He also represented detained and nondetained immigration clients in hearings and filings before immigration courts and federal agencies.

Goff is licensed before Mississippi state and federal courts and in Alabama state courts. This multistate practice enables him to assist injured people and criminal defendants with matters that may cross jurisdictional lines. He approaches each case with careful preparation, direct communication, and attention to the client’s immediate concerns.
