Mark W. Hendricksen is a Principal and Registered Patent Attorney with more than 40 years of experience in intellectual property law. His practice at Wells St. John P.S. covers all major areas of IP, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. He works closely with clients on IP counseling, procurement, enforcement, licensing, and litigation. Mark is known for helping businesses protect innovation while aligning legal decisions with long-term business goals. His experience also includes IP transactions, legal opinions, and the design of strategies around existing patents.
Mark earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University. He later completed his J.D. from Gonzaga University. This combination of engineering, business, and legal education enables him to understand complex technologies while providing clear, practical legal guidance.
Mark has worked with clients across numerous industries and technology fields in the United States and abroad throughout his legal career. He has handled patent and trademark prosecution, oppositions and cancellations, and complex IP litigation matters. His work includes advising clients on IP strategies, negotiating licensing agreements, and resolving disputes through litigation when needed. In addition to intellectual property law, he represents clients in other types of litigation as needed.
Mark W. Hendricksen is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the State of Washington Bar Association. He is also admitted to multiple U.S. District Courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth and Federal Circuits.
