Mark S. Zaid

Mark S. Zaid is a highly respected attorney recognized for his expertise in national security, international law, and defamation cases. His practice involves litigation and lobbying on complex legal issues such as diplomatic immunity, Freedom of Information/Privacy Acts (FOI/PA), and government accountability. Mark earned his undergraduate degree cum laude from the University of Rochester in 1989, achieving honors in Political Science and high honors in History. He later obtained his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School of Union University in 1992, where he served as Associate Editor of the Albany Law Review. Since 2014, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins University, contributing to the Global Studies and National Security Certificate programs.
