Mark Mayfield is a seasoned attorney who focuses on employment and business disputes across Arkansas and beyond. He advises employers of all sizes on workplace compliance, risk management, and dispute resolution. Mark regularly represents clients in administrative proceedings and complex litigation matters involving workplace and operational concerns.
Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR, in 1990, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He later obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Leflar Law Center, Fayetteville, AR, 1993. During law school, he served as Articles Editor for the Arkansas Law Review, strengthening his legal research and writing skills.
Mark concentrates his practice on Employment Law, Litigation, and Appellate Practice. He has handled matters before the EEOC, Wage and Hour Division, OSHA, and various state agencies. His experience includes serving as counsel of record in wage and hour collective actions, class actions, and agricultural disputes, guiding employers through high-stakes and sensitive legal challenges.
Mark has earned recognition from Mid-South Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers for his work in employment law. Beyond his legal practice, he serves as Chair of the Jonesboro Economic Development Commission and the Arkansas Access to Justice Commission, established by the Arkansas Supreme Court. He is also active in the American Bar Association, Arkansas Bar Association, and Craighead County Bar Association.
Mark Mayfield previously served as a clerk to Judge G. Thomas Eisele of the United States District Court, Eastern District of Arkansas, gaining valuable federal court experience. He is admitted to practice in Arkansas and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals 8th Circuit.
