Mark Casto

Mark Casto is a Columbus, Georgia personal injury lawyer who represents individuals and families harmed by negligence or wrongful conduct. His practice includes motor vehicle accidents, tractor-trailer crashes, product liability, premises liability, nursing home abuse, insurance bad faith, and wrongful death matters. He has litigated cases throughout Georgia and in several other states. His work focuses on serious injury claims involving substantial medical, financial, and personal losses.

Casto earned his J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law. He received his B.S. in Sports Management with honors from Western Carolina University. During law school, he received the Best Advocate award at the Academy of Trial Lawyers Moot Court Competition. His academic and advocacy training provided a strong foundation in legal analysis, courtroom presentation, case preparation, and persuasive argument.

Casto began his career in a district attorney’s office, where he prosecuted numerous criminal cases and was assigned to child victim matters. He served as lead prosecutor in more than 50 jury trials in Georgia Superior Courts. He later entered private practice, representing injured clients while handling criminal defense and complex domestic cases. His experience includes appellate arguments before the Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals.

Mark Casto has received recognition from Georgia Super Lawyers since 2017 and has been named among The National Trial Lawyers Top 100. He has received Georgia Elite Lawyer and Columbus Ledger-Enquirer Reader’s Choice recognition. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Columbus Bar Association, and Chattahoochee Trial Lawyers Association. He previously served as president of the Chattahoochee Circuit Bar Association and remains active in trial-focused professional organizations.
