Mark A. Aronchick is a highly respected litigator, founding member, and Chair Emeritus of his firm. With a distinguished career spanning decades, he has led numerous high-profile cases, including Pennsylvania’s landmark same-sex marriage case, Whitewood v. Wolf. His work consistently reflects a deep commitment to civil justice and legal ethics.

Mark earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 1974, graduating with honors, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He previously received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1971. These prestigious academic foundations laid the groundwork for his impactful legal journey.

Mark’s career includes serving as one of Philadelphia’s youngest City Solicitors and a central figure in Mayor William J. Green’s administration. In 1996, he made history as the first person to simultaneously hold the positions of President of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation and Vice Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, underscoring his commitment to legal leadership and public service.

Mark is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has contributed to numerous legal advisory boards, including the Judicial Conduct Board of Pennsylvania and the Committee on the Federal Rules of Evidence. He has also served on disciplinary and ethics boards, offering guidance on legal standards and professional conduct.

Beyond the courtroom, Mark A. Aronchick continues to share his expertise through lectures on trial advocacy, ethics, and litigation. He remains actively engaged in civic life, serving on the board of the Defender Association of Philadelphia and various community organizations. His contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including the Legal Intelligencer’s 2019 “Pennsylvania Attorney of the Year” and the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” in 2019 and 2021.
