Marion Ty Rutter

Marion Ty Rutter is an attorney with extensive experience handling a wide range of legal matters for individuals, businesses, and public entities. Mr. Rutter earned a B.S. in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University in 1983. He later received his J.D. from Oklahoma City University in 1987. His academic training prepared him to address complex legal matters involving agriculture, finance, property, and commercial activity. It also supports his practical approach when advising clients on legal strategy day to day.

Mr. Rutter has been affiliated with Aldridge, Actkinson & Rutter, L.L.P. since first joining the firm as a summer clerk in 1986. After completing law school, he continued with the firm as an associate and later became a partner. He manages the firm’s Clovis office and represents clients in a wide variety of civil and business matters. Marion Ty Rutter serves as City Attorney for the City of Texico, New Mexico, a role he has held since 1991, in addition to his private practice. In this position, he provides legal guidance to local government and helps ensure compliance with state and local laws. He is licensed to practice in New Mexico and Texas.
