Marikate Reese

Marikate Reese is a committed personal injury attorney with a passion for helping clients overcome life-changing injuries. She brings a strong foundation in criminal justice and trial preparation to her legal practice. Her early experience working in both law offices and public service roles has shaped her client-focused approach to the law.

Attorney Reese earned her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University Bloomington, where she was repeatedly named to the Dean’s and Executive Dean’s lists. She later received her Juris Doctor from the University of Massachusetts School of Law in Dartmouth, graduating cum laude and in the top 15% of her class.

While in law school, Reese worked as a Law Library Assistant and was involved in the Criminal Law Club and Trial Practice programs. She also gained hands-on experience at the Mashpee Wampanoag Legal Services Clinic, assisting low-income tribal members in areas like family law, landlord-tenant disputes, and public benefits. Her Rule 3:03 certification allowed her to support indigent clients in Massachusetts under attorney supervision.

Reese’s legal journey included early work as a law clerk and paralegal, where she developed a deep understanding of case preparation. She interned at the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office and later transitioned to practicing law, bringing those experiences to bear in her advocacy for injured clients.

Reese is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is active in several legal organizations, including the American Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers and Women in Law divisions.

Marikate Reese has also received recognition for her commitment to public service, earning the “Leader for Justice” award after completing more than 200 hours of pro bono work. She continues to advocate for her clients with a strong sense of purpose and dedication to justice.
