Mariah D. Stover

Mariah D. Stover, Esq., is a Partner at Anthony A. Fatemi, LLC and a skilled criminal defense lawyer with broad experience across several areas of practice. Ms. Stover earned her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in 2008. During law school, she was deeply involved in criminal justice initiatives, including leadership roles with the Innocence Project and the Criminal Law Society. She also served as a Rule 16 Student Attorney in the Criminal Justice Clinic. She completed her undergraduate education at Bowling Green State University, earning a B.A. in 2005, and graduated magna cum laude, with induction into multiple academic honor societies.

Ms. Stover served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marielsa A. Bernard of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland, after graduating from law school. In this role, she drafted judicial orders and opinions and conducted legal research in family and criminal law matters. This experience gave her valuable insight into judicial decision-making and the practical application of the law.

Ms. Stover also gained litigation experience through her work with the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she researched legal issues, drafted motions, and assisted with trial preparation. As part of her clinical training, she presented criminal and traffic cases in District Court on behalf of the State of Maryland.
