Margaret A. Reid is a family law attorney at Butler, Sevier, Hinsley & Reid PLLC, where she focuses her practice on a full range of family law matters. Her legal work includes divorce, child custody and support, adoption, parental rights, juvenile court proceedings, prenuptial agreements, and post-divorce modifications.

Margaret earned her J.D. from the University of Mississippi in 2004 and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001.

Margaret is licensed to practice law in both Tennessee and Mississippi. She was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2004 and the Mississippi Bar in 2006. She is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Her practice spans state and federal courts, and she has represented clients in a variety of family law matters involving complex legal and emotional issues. Margaret is known for her ability to guide clients through challenging legal processes with compassion and clarity.

Margaret is an active member of the Tennessee, Mississippi, and Memphis Bar Associations, and participates in the Family Law Sections of each. She is also a graduate of the Memphis Bar Association’s Leadership Forum, having completed the program in 2008.

Margaret A. Reid has served as President of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Memphis and Shelby County, an organization dedicated to representing the interests of children in court proceedings. Margaret continues to provide knowledgeable, client-focused legal counsel to families across Tennessee and Mississippi, advocating for fair resolutions in sensitive legal matters.
