Marcus P. Mears is a founding partner of Cunningham & Mears in Oklahoma City. He focuses his practice on personal injury law and insurance litigation for people harmed in serious accidents. He has maintained an active litigation practice in Oklahoma state and federal courts since 1996. He has served as lead counsel in multiple seven-figure injury cases and was selected to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Mr. Mears earned his B.S. from the University of Oklahoma and later received his J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. During law school, he received the American Jurisprudence Award and participated in the 1996 National Trial Team. He also belonged to the Luther Bohannon American Inn of Court and worked in the Civil and Criminal Defense Clinics. He tried his first jury case while still a second-year law student.
Mr. Mears handles motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, industrial injuries, premises liability, oil field injuries, product liability, worksite accidents, civil litigation, and class action pharmaceutical matters. He is admitted to the Oklahoma Bar and the US District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma. He is also admitted before the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
