Lyndsay J. Howard is a respected family law attorney and mediator who focuses her practice on helping Minnesota clients resolve a wide range of family-related legal matters. Her work includes divorce, paternity, child custody, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, domestic abuse, adoption, property division, antenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and post-decree issues. She also provides mediation services for clients seeking constructive, solutions-focused dispute resolution.
Lyndsay earned her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and holds a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Gustavus Adolphus College. Before entering private practice, she gained valuable experience as a Certified Student Attorney with the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office – Child Support Division, handling paternity, custody, and support cases.
Lyndsay is admitted to practice in Minnesota, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, and the Prairie Island Indian Community Tribal Court. She maintains active involvement in the legal community through the American Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, Dakota County Bar Association, First District Bar Association, and Minnesota Women Lawyers. Her service includes holding leadership roles within the First District Bar Association. She has been recognized by Super Lawyers for Family Law from 2017–2025 and has earned multiple AVVO Superb Ratings and Client Choice Awards.
Lyndsay J. Howard is also an experienced presenter, sharing her knowledge at national and international family law seminars on topics such as trial preparation, social media considerations, non-marital property, and effective family law strategies. She is trained in Early Neutral Evaluation and serves as a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral for custody, parenting time, and financial issues.
