Lydia’s academic background laid the foundation for her long-standing legal career. She earned her bachelor’s degree in 1992 from the University of Texas-Pan American, where she developed a strong commitment to service and advocacy. In 1998, she received her Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. Since then, she has practiced law with dedication, guiding clients through complex legal issues with professionalism and care.

Lydia’s leadership and involvement in professional organizations demonstrate her commitment to the advancement of the legal community. From June 2020 to June 2023, she served as the Director of the State Bar of Texas for District 12. She has been a proud member of the Texas Bar College since 2017 and remains actively involved with the Hidalgo County and Cameron County Bar Associations.
