About
Eric Mauro began his professional journey with a deep commitment to service and purpose. His path first led him to the U.S. Army, where he served as a Cavalry Scout beginning in 2004. Military life introduced him to Texas, but the sense of community and belonging convinced him to stay. The values of discipline, focus, and service he developed during his time in the Army remain at the core of how he practices law today.
Eric’s dedication to education and communication shaped his approach to helping clients. He earned his BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Texas Woman’s University, where he concentrated on Deaf Education and worked to support underserved communities. Building on that foundation, he obtained his JD from Baylor Law School w/ Special Distinction in Estate Planning, an honor that reflects his exceptional work in preparing clients for future needs. To deepen his understanding of financial and tax issues that impact families and business owners, he completed an LL.M. in Taxation from Denver University Strum College of Law. These achievements give him a strong background in both legal and technical aspects of estate and tax planning.
Eric focuses his practice on estate planning, probate, and business law, offering tailored legal support for people navigating life’s key transitions. He works closely with clients to make complex legal matters simple and manageable. His approach is patient and educational, ensuring that every client understands their options and feels supported through the process. From helping families organize their estates to guiding entrepreneurs through business formation, his goal is to bring peace of mind through preparation and knowledge.
For Eric Mauro, the practice of law is about service, preparation, and empowering clients to move forward with confidence The lessons Eric learned in the Army—preparation, adaptability, and follow-through—guide his work ethic today. He believes every legal decision should help clients protect what matters most.
