Luigi Vigliotti

Luigi Vigliotti is a highly experienced New York attorney known for his strong litigation skills and practical approach to criminal defense, DWI, traffic violations, and personal injury cases. With more than 20 years of legal experience, he has represented clients in courts across Long Island, New York City, and upstate New York. A former New York State Prosecutor, he brings deep insight into how cases are built, charged, and prosecuted, allowing him to build strong, strategic defenses for those facing serious legal challenges.

Mr. Vigliotti earned his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law. Before law school, he completed his B.A., magna cum laude, at New York University, where he also made the Dean’s List. He is a graduate of Chaminade High School, where he earned Dean’s List honors every semester. He was admitted to practice in New York in 2002.

Mr. Vigliotti began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases. During his time as a prosecutor, he conducted numerous pretrial suppression hearings, presented felony cases to the Grand Jury, and tried several misdemeanor and felony jury trials to verdict. This experience gave him a strong foundation in courtroom advocacy and case preparation.

Luigi Vigliotti worked for a respected insurance defense firm, where he handled personal injury, labor law, wrongful death, auto accident, and general negligence matters after leaving the District Attorney’s Office. He later gained further experience in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation before opening his own practice in 2008. Today, Mr. Vigliotti focuses on defending clients in criminal cases, DWI matters, drug offenses, and traffic violations, ranging from simple tickets to complex hearings and trials. He also represents individuals in personal injury cases. He serves as Chief Counsel for the New York State Fraternal Order of Police Foundation Inc.
