Douglas S. Borroughs, Esq., is the Founder and Managing Principal of Douglas S. Borroughs, Esq., P.C., a law firm he established in 1994. With more than 25 years of legal experience, he has built a strong reputation for guiding clients through complex legal challenges with skill and dedication. His early work included writing for the New York Law Journal and contributing to the Touro Journal of International Law, demonstrating his commitment to legal scholarship and clear communication from the start of his career.

Mr. Borroughs earned his J.D. from Touro Law School in Huntington, New York, where he served on the Touro Journal of International Law. He also holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Long Island University, Brookville, New York. His education provided a strong foundation in both legal reasoning and business principles, enabling him to serve clients with a balanced, practical approach.

Mr. Borroughs has represented clients throughout his career in personal injury, medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, and criminal and traffic matters. He began his legal career as a clerk to Nassau County District Court Judge Hon. B. Marc Mogil, gaining valuable courtroom experience. After law school, he joined Rivkin Radler in Uniondale, where he worked in the General Liability and Personal Injury Department. There, he focused on insurance defense litigation, developing a deep understanding of how insurance companies operate. This experience now helps him advocate with strength and precision on behalf of injured individuals and working families.
