About
Louis Scannicchio is the founder of LJS Law, LLC, an Oak Park practice he established in 2019 after working for about a decade as an associate attorney with Pellegrini & Cristiano. His practice centers on real estate taxation, particularly property tax appeals in Cook County, along with transactional real estate, business law, and estate planning. He works with property managers, landlords, owners, investors, and other clients whose legal needs are tied to real estate ownership and operations.
Louis earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Boston University and later attended The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. While in law school, he worked with the Fair Housing Clinic and participated in the Justinian Society of Lawyers. His education and clinic experience provided a foundation for a practice that combines real estate transactions with property taxation, business concerns, and planning matters affecting clients who own, manage, or invest in real property.
Louis developed his practice around the goal of providing real estate professionals with a broad legal resource for related needs. His work includes tax appeal matters throughout Cook County, transactional real estate issues, business law, and estate planning. This range allows him to address legal questions that can arise at different stages of property ownership, from acquisitions and operational concerns to taxation and long-term planning. His earlier decade in an established Oak Park practice added experience across real estate and general legal matters.
Louis Scannicchio focuses on legal services connected to real estate and the people and businesses that own or manage property. Through LJS Law, he combines property tax appeal work with transactional representation, business guidance, and estate planning. His practice reflects a long-standing connection to the real estate field and is designed to help clients address related legal needs in a coordinated way, with particular experience in Cook County real estate taxation and property-focused legal matters.
