Lindsey Oswalt Watson is an attorney at Wilbanks Dowd & Watson who represents clients in appellate, commercial, and employment litigation. Her practice includes appeals, workplace disputes, public education matters, real estate issues, contracts, trusts, wills and estates, products liability, and business formation. Lindsey helps clients address complex disputes, administrative proceedings, and legal planning needs with careful analysis and practical advocacy.
Lindsey earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law in 2009. She also earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Mississippi College in 2006. After law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Leslie H. Southwick of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from 2009 to 2010. Her education and clerkship experience support her appellate writing, litigation strategy, and case analysis.
Lindsey has successfully handled dozens of appeals and has drafted appellate briefs for the Mississippi Court of Appeals, the Mississippi Supreme Court, several federal courts of appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Her employment litigation experience includes matters involving race, gender, and disability discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, employment contracts, and non-competition agreements. She has also represented labor and employment clients before the EEOC, NLRB, and hearing officers.
Lindsey is admitted in Mississippi and appears before Mississippi state courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Her work in appellate, employment, education, commercial, and real estate matters gives clients a broad litigation resource. Lindsey also remains active in community service through the Junior League of Jackson.
