Linda M. Malek

Linda M. Malek is the Owner and Managing Partner of Malek Law Firm, a respected criminal defense practice based in Akron, Ohio. With over 23 years of experience, she defends clients facing misdemeanor and felony charges, with a specialized focus on drug and alcohol-related offenses.

Linda earned her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 1999, after graduating cum laude from The University of Akron with a B.A. in Political Science. She also received the prestigious Ray C. Bliss Certificate in Applied Politics and was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.

Linda’s legal career began at Guy, Lammert & Towne, where she assisted in representing Bank One across Northeast Ohio. In 2003, she launched her own firm and began taking on serious felony defense work. Her courtroom experience spans high-level criminal cases with a strong track record of successful outcomes.

A certified NHTSA instructor since 2013, Linda trains attorneys and law enforcement in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. She also holds certifications in ARIDE and Drug Recognition Training, establishing her as a leading authority in OVI defense—earning her the nickname “OVI Queen” across Ohio’s legal community.

Linda is admitted to practice in Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She maintains an active membership in the Ohio State Bar Association and continues to pursue advanced legal training in DUI/OVI defense.
