Johnny Lanzillo is a Texas criminal defense trial attorney with more than a decade of experience handling high-stakes state and federal cases. Known for disciplined trial preparation and strategic advocacy, he represents clients in cases where liberty, reputation, and future opportunities are at risk throughout North Texas courts.
Mr. Lanzillo earned his J.D. from Texas Wesleyan School of Law (now Texas A&M School of Law) and holds a B.A. in History from the University of North Texas. Early in his career, Mr. Lanzillo gained courtroom experience rapidly, trying serious felony cases shortly after licensure. He later held leadership roles at multiple criminal defense practices, including serving as managing partner and criminal division trial chief. His advanced forensic training allows him to challenge scientific evidence in DWI and felony cases, including blood and breath testing, strengthening defense strategies in technically demanding prosecutions.
Johnny Lanzillo has earned statewide and national recognition for trial skill and professionalism. He is consistently selected for peer-reviewed honors and maintains active involvement in criminal defense organizations. Admitted to practice in Texas federal courts, he also teaches advanced criminal law topics to other attorneys.
