Lewis R. Warren is a shareholder at Abbey, Weitzenberg, Warren & Emery and an accomplished trial attorney with more than three decades of experience representing clients in complex civil litigation. Since joining the firm in 1990 and becoming a shareholder in 1997, Lewis has focused his practice on business, real estate, employment, intellectual property, and probate disputes. He has successfully handled jury and court trials, arbitrations, and appellate matters, earning a reputation for precision, strategic advocacy, and effective results.
Lewis earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of Law and his B.A., with high honors, from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. His academic achievements, including membership in the Order of the Coif and the Thurston Society, reflect his long-standing dedication to legal excellence. Admitted to practice in California, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, and the U.S. Supreme Court, he applies deep legal insight and courtroom experience to each case he handles.
Over his distinguished career, Lewis has secured numerous victories for clients, including a $20 million jury verdict in a Sonoma County financial elder abuse case. Beyond his litigation successes, he frequently advises clients in drafting and negotiating commercial leases, asset purchase agreements, and corporate governance documents. His practical business understanding allows him to provide comprehensive representation that protects client interests both inside and outside the courtroom.
Lewis R. Warren is a past president of the Sonoma County Bar Association and has served in multiple leadership roles within the legal community.
