About

LeTonya F. Moore is a civil rights attorney and co-founder who focuses on protecting the educational rights of children with disabilities. Her work centers on holding schools and public systems accountable when discrimination or systemic failures harm students and deny them equal access to education.

LeTonya earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law. She also received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and Criminal Justice from the University of Alabama. Her academic background provided a strong foundation for her work in civil rights and public policy.
With more than two decades of legal experience, LeTonya has worked as a federal regulatory and civil rights attorney for people with disabilities. She previously served as an attorney and litigator for federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
LeTonya focuses her practice on complex civil rights litigation in federal court. Her work often involves claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), as well as other civil and constitutional rights matters.

LeTonya’s cases frequently address systemic discrimination in school systems, unlawful disciplinary actions against students with disabilities, and failures to provide a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). She works to ensure that schools meet their legal obligations and that families receive meaningful remedies when rights are violated.

LeTonya F. Moore is admitted to practice law in Alabama and before the United States Supreme Court and the U.S. Federal District Court for the Southern District of Alabama. Her work has earned recognition, including Top Attorney of the Year (2024) from the International Association of Top Professionals and the Outstanding Leadership Award (2024) from Education 2.0.
