Lesley Foss

Lesley Foss is a dedicated family law attorney at Fremstad Law who helps clients navigate some of life’s most challenging moments. With deep experience in family law matters, she works closely with her clients from the initial interview through the final stages of each case. Her goal is to guide clients with clarity, compassion, and effective legal solutions. Lesley handles all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody, post-judgment modifications, parenting time disputes, prenuptial agreements, child support, guardianships, and name changes.

Lesley earned her J.D., with distinction, from the University of North Dakota School of Law, where she was Managing Editor of the North Dakota Law Review. She also received the Outstanding Note or Case Comment Award from the North Dakota Bar Foundation. Before law school, she completed her B.A. at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, focusing on Foreign Policy and Policy Process.

Before joining Fremstad Law, Lesley built valuable courtroom experience as a trial court law clerk in Minnesota’s 9th Judicial District and as a private practice attorney focusing on family law and personal injury. She later represented the State of North Dakota at the Fargo Regional Child Support Unit, where she managed paternity, child support, and medical support cases. Lesley also brings additional insight from her early work as a paralegal in corporate immigration and entertainment law.

Lesley Foss is a trained guardian ad litem, a parenting investigator in North Dakota, and a qualified neutral mediator. She also provides family law mediation services, helping families reach practical, less contentious solutions. Clients appreciate Lesley’s dedication and steady guidance throughout the family law process, knowing they have an advocate who truly cares about achieving the best outcomes for them and their families.
