Lena Nevsky is a seasoned immigration attorney with over two decades of experience representing clients across the United States and abroad. Licensed to practice law in New York (2001) and New Jersey (2000), she focuses exclusively on immigration law, guiding individuals, families, and businesses through complex legal processes before USCIS, EOIR, and federal appellate bodies.
Born in Leningrad, former Soviet Union, Lena graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Herzen University in St. Petersburg. After arriving in the United States as a refugee in 1989, she earned her MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business in 1995. She then obtained her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in New Jersey.
Before establishing her private practice in 2002, Lena worked at a prestigious Manhattan law firm, gaining valuable legal and client advocacy skills. Since joining the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 2001, she has successfully handled cases in family-based immigration, employment-based visas, removal defense, asylum, and citizenship matters.
From 2002 to 2018, Lena managed her practice in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, representing clients from all 50 states. In 2018, she fulfilled a long-time dream of relocating to Oahu, Hawaii, where she continues to provide nationwide and international immigration services. Her deep understanding of immigration law, coupled with her personal journey as a refugee, allows her to approach each case with empathy, precision, and dedication.
