Lee J. (Jeff) Bloomfield is a seasoned trial attorney based in Memphis with decades of experience representing clients in maritime law, Jones Act claims, river boat injuries, and personal injury matters. His practice spans state and federal courts across Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Missouri, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Eleventh Circuits.
Jeff earned a B.S., with honors, from the University of Tennessee in 1971 and completed his J.D. at the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1974. He has been licensed to practice in Tennessee since 1975 and in Kentucky since 2009.
Jeff’s legal career has been marked by in-depth work in maritime and admiralty law, where he has become a recognized authority. He is frequently invited to speak at legal seminars and has authored articles for professional publications, including a piece on identifying Jones Act claims for Tennessee Trial Lawyer Magazine. He has lectured on maritime and personal injury topics at national conferences, including events hosted by the Tennessee Association for Justice.

He is a past president of the Tennessee Association for Justice and has served as Chair of the Admiralty Section of the American Association for Justice.
