Lawrence M. Rosenstock

Lawrence M. Rosenstock is a founding partner of Markewich & Rosenstock LLP in New York City. He has more than 40 years of experience handling sophisticated business, real estate, and commercial disputes. His practice includes partnership and shareholder conflicts, closely held company dissolution proceedings, business fraud, contract claims, real estate litigation, insurance coverage issues, and Surrogate’s Court construction proceedings. He also advises banks on day-to-day legal and business matters.

Rosenstock earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he served as an associate editor of the Annual Survey of American Law. He received his B.A. from the University of Rochester. His legal education and editorial experience strengthened the research, writing, and analytical skills that support his work in complex litigation, appellate advocacy, contract interpretation, and disputes involving closely held businesses and valuable real estate interests.

Rosenstock serves as trial and appellate counsel in New York state and federal courts and in alternative dispute resolution forums. He has handled jury and non-jury trials, dispositive motions, mediations, arbitrations, and appeals involving employment and housing discrimination, letters of intent, oral contracts, forged documents, riparian rights, partnership disputes, and commercial property matters. His appellate experience includes successfully overturning precedent in the New York Court of Appeals.
