David B. Mack

David B. Mack is a partner at O’Connor, Carnathan & Mack, LLC in Burlington and has practiced commercial litigation since 1995. He advises individuals and public and private companies on breach of contract, trade secret claims, employment disputes, insurance coverage, corporate governance, trustee-beneficiary conflicts, land use, and commercial or residential landlord-tenant matters. His work extends across trial, appellate, arbitration, mediation, and advisory settings.

David earned a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1995 and an A.B. from Dartmouth College in 1992. He is admitted in Massachusetts. Before joining OCM in 2005, he spent ten years in litigation departments at Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar, P.C. and Nixon Peabody LLP. That background established a long commercial litigation practice involving business, employment, insurance, governance, and property disputes.

David has represented clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts and in arbitration proceedings. He provides mediation and arbitration services through AMANDA ADR and serves as a volunteer mediator in civil cases at Salem District Court and through the North Shore Mediation Center. His dispute work includes contract claims, trade secrets, Wage Act and restrictive covenant issues, insurance coverage, corporate freeze-outs, fiduciary conflicts, land use, and landlord-tenant matters.

David B. Mack has received a Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished Rating and has been selected as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer, following an earlier Rising Star selection. He belongs to the American Bar Association and Massachusetts Bar Association and has served on community boards. His practice combines decades of commercial litigation, appellate work, arbitration, mediation, and counseling for companies and individuals facing complex disputes.
