Lauren Jones

Lauren Jones is an associate attorney in Peoria, Illinois, whose diverse legal experience spans international and domestic practice. She brings a global perspective shaped by her work in international law, appellate court clerkships, and litigation support. Lauren earned her J.D. from Elon University School of Law, where she excelled academically and in advocacy. She served as Articles Editor for We the People: Elon Law’s Constitutional Law Journal and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers for her excellence in oral advocacy. She also received honors as an Equal Justice America Fellow, Leadership Fellow, and Pro Bono Recognition recipient. She holds a B.S. from Bradley University.

Lauren’s early legal career includes internships with UNIDROIT in Rome, where she contributed to the Model Law on Factoring and conducted comparative analyses involving UNCITRAL instruments. Domestically, she clerked for both the North Carolina and Virginia Courts of Appeals and supported personal injury, workers’ compensation, and estate planning cases in private practice. She is admitted to the State Courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia, with Illinois admission pending.

Beyond her legal work, Lauren Jones’s background as an English teacher across five Asian countries and her experience in college admissions have fostered her commitment to communication and education.
