Lauren Evans

Lauren Evans is a criminal defense attorney with Grieve Law who represents clients facing criminal charges in Wisconsin. She began her career as an Assistant Wisconsin State Public Defender in Racine, where she advocated for people navigating serious legal problems. She has since litigated hundreds of criminal matters, combining courtroom experience with negotiation and a client-focused approach to charge reductions, dismissals, and other case resolutions.

Evans earned a bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies from Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University in 2020, with minors in Political Science and Music. She received her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 2023. At Creighton, she earned membership in the Order of the Barristers and worked for two years as a prosecutor’s-office law clerk on trials, motions, and appeals.

Evans’ early work as a public defender placed her directly in criminal court representing people facing the power of the State. Combined with her prosecutor-office clerkship, that experience gave her exposure to litigation from different perspectives. Her current criminal defense practice draws on that background when evaluating evidence, preparing motions, negotiating with prosecutors, and helping clients understand the legal process and potential outcomes.

Lauren Evans was admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 2023. Her Order of the Barristers recognition reflects advocacy and legal-writing skills developed during law school, while her professional experience adds practical courtroom judgment.
