LaToya graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2003, where she served as Student Government President. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2006, where she was an Editor for the Journal of Space Law and received American Jurisprudence Awards in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Patent Law. After graduating, she gained invaluable experience clerking for the Honorable James E. Graves, Jr. on the Mississippi Supreme Court.
