Larry J. Rector is a West Virginia labor and employment lawyer with more than 35 years of experience in workplace and transportation matters. He advises employers on employment laws, wage and hour issues, reductions in force, workplace safety, and labor disputes. His practice includes high-stakes trucking litigation for freight brokers, freight forwarders, and motor carriers. He maintains an active trial and appellate practice and counsels clients facing sensitive employment and regulatory concerns.
Larry earned his J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law and his B.A. from Morningside College. He was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as Executive Editor of the Nebraska Law Review. His academic background supports the research, writing, and analysis required in employment, transportation, and complex civil litigation. He is licensed in West Virginia and Texas and has argued appeals before state and federal appellate courts.

He has obtained complete defense verdicts in major FLSA collective actions and defended freight brokers and motor carriers in trucking accident litigation.
