Lance Sharp

Lance Sharp is an Austin, Texas, personal injury attorney with more than three decades of legal experience. He represents people injured in car accidents, truck and 18-wheeler accidents, and other serious incidents across Texas. His practice also includes motorcycle and bicycle accidents, crashes involving drunk drivers, and wrongful death claims. Lance focuses on helping injured individuals and families understand their options and pursue compensation through negotiation and litigation.

Lance received his Bachelor of Science from Creighton University in 1984 and his Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law in 1987. During law school, he participated in Law Review and was a Moot Court Finalist. These experiences helped develop the legal research, written advocacy, and courtroom presentation skills that support his work in personal injury trial law.

After graduating, Lance worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Hays County from 1987 to 1989. He then served as an Assistant Texas Attorney General in the Tort Division from 1989 to 1991. In 1993, he opened his own practice representing individuals in personal injury matters, and in 1997 he joined forces with Laura Sharp. His litigation work includes claims arising from severe brain injuries, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), construction accidents, non-subscriber workplace injuries, and defective products. He also handles other serious injury disputes, including medical and dental malpractice matters.

Lance Sharp is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He is a member of the invitation-only American Board of Trial Advocates and has served as president of the Austin Bar Association. His professional involvement also includes trial lawyer associations and legal foundations. He brings litigation and trial-preparation experience to injury cases, emphasizing evidence evaluation, case strategy development, and fair outcomes for injured clients.
