With deep roots in South Florida, he provides dedicated representation to clients facing serious criminal charges or recovering from life-altering injuries. Known for his strategic approach and courtroom skill, Mr. Garrett works tirelessly to protect the rights and interests of individuals throughout the state of Florida.
Mr. Garrett earned his J.D. from Florida International University College of Law, where he discovered his passion for justice during an internship with the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office. He also holds a B.S. in Print Journalism from Florida International University. His early experience exposed him to the inequities in the criminal justice system, shaping his commitment to defending the accused and advocating for fairness and equality under the law.
Before founding his own practice, Mr. Garrett served as an Assistant Public Defender in Broward County, handling a wide range of cases from misdemeanors to first-degree felonies. He later gained valuable civil litigation experience at an insurance defense firm, where he managed complex personal injury and construction defect cases. This dual background gives him a unique perspective on both sides of the courtroom.
In 2013, Lance A. Garrett established Novo Law to represent clients in personal injury and criminal defense matters. He has achieved significant settlements and verdicts, including multi-million-dollar recoveries for victims of negligent security, wrongful death, and catastrophic injuries. Combining compassion with tenacity, he is committed to seeking justice and delivering strong results for every client he represents.
