LaBarron Boone is a highly respected trial attorney whose career has been defined by leadership, advocacy, and a commitment to pursuing justice for individuals affected by serious injuries, defective products, and consumer fraud. Since beginning his legal career in 1995, he has built a reputation for handling complex litigation involving crashworthiness claims, seatbelt restraint failures, accidental airbag deployments, tractor rollovers, tire tread separation, insurance fraud, and consumer protection matters. His analytical background and extensive courtroom experience allow him to approach challenging cases with both technical insight and strategic focus.
LaBarron earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University in 1990. He later earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama Law School in 1994. His engineering education provides a unique perspective when evaluating product design, safety systems, and corporate decision-making processes that can affect public welfare. This combination of technical and legal knowledge has contributed to success in numerous high-profile cases throughout his career.
LaBarron has played a significant role in litigation that produced meaningful results for injured individuals while encouraging broader safety improvements. His work includes involvement in cases connected to the largest tire recall in American history and Wright vs. Volvo, which helped drive changes in truck safety standards. Among his notable results are a $151 million award for Travaris “Tre” Smith in a Ford Explorer rollover case and a $581 million verdict in Merriweather v. Whirlpool, recognized as the largest predatory lending verdict in American history. These outcomes reflect a consistent dedication to accountability and consumer protection.
LaBarron has received numerous honors throughout his career, including recognition in The Best Lawyers in America® for Personal Injury and Product Liability and an AV Rating. He was named Beasley Allen Litigator of the Year in 2007 and Lawyer of the Year – Personal Injury in 2011. He also earned Lawyer of the Year – Products Liability honors in 2016 and 2017. Additional recognition includes selection to The National Trial Lawyers “Top 100” in 2019, Marquis Who’s Who in America in 2020, the Chad Stewart Award in 2020, and induction into Lawdragon Legends in 2024.
