Luis A. Alum

Luis A. Alum, Esq is a founding partner at Alum, Ferrer, Diaz & Luaces in North Bergen, New Jersey. He represents clients across a broad civil and litigation practice, including personal injury, bankruptcy, real estate, family law, immigration, landlord-tenant matters, municipal court, criminal matters, and estate planning. Mr. Alum graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University in 1976 and earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School in 1983. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar that same year and is also admitted before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. His academic training and litigation background support his ability to evaluate legal problems carefully and guide clients through complex court and transactional issues.

Mr. Alum founded Alum & Ferrer, Esqs. in December 1988 and has spent more than three decades serving clients in Hudson County. He has appeared in Superior Court countless times and has litigated and tried thousands of cases throughout his career. His experience includes real estate transactions, personal injury claims, bankruptcy matters, workers’ compensation matters, family law issues, criminal cases, municipal court matters, and immigration concerns.

Mr. Alum is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Hudson County Bar Association, the North Hudson Lawyers’ Club, and the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is also a native Spanish speaker, which allows him to serve a wider range of clients in the community. Luis A.
