L. Sheryl Adams, Esq., serves as a Senior Associate Attorney at Stange Law Firm, PC, representing clients in Wichita, Kansas, and surrounding areas. She focuses her practice on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, visitation, spousal and child support, property division, and guardianship. Adams earned her J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law after completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin. She is licensed to practice law in both Kansas and Texas. Adams has also served as an Associate Judge for the Collin County Probate Court since 2011, bringing extensive experience in probate and mental health law. In this position, she oversees mental health commitment hearings, competency proceedings, and a wide range of probate-related cases. She works closely with hospital staff and law enforcement to ensure legal protocols are properly followed and regularly educates community organizations about the mental health legal system. In addition to her judicial service, L. Sheryl Adams has maintained a legal practice since 1993, representing clients in criminal, juvenile, and probate matters.
