Kyle R. Puro, Esq., is a dedicated family law attorney based in Long Beach, California. His practice is focused on divorce, paternity, custody, child support, domestic violence, and dependency cases involving the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Known for his client-centered approach, he has helped parents, children, and families navigate some of the most challenging and sensitive legal disputes.
Kyle earned his Associate of Arts with High Honors from Mott Community College in 2003 and his Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Michigan-Flint in 2005. He later graduated cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he also studied abroad in Australia and New Zealand in 2008. In 2009, he relocated to California to begin his career in family law, bringing with him a strong academic foundation and international perspective.
From 2011 to 2015, Kyle worked as a court-appointed attorney with Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers, Inc., representing families in defense against DCFS. He also served as a guardian ad litem for minors in dependency and family court, providing him with a unique, child-centered perspective in litigation. In 2015, he established the Law Offices of Kyle R. Puro, continuing to build a practice centered on protecting children and families from abuse, neglect, and wrongful allegations.
Kyle R. Puro has secured reversals in the California Court of Appeals and achieved hard-fought victories in family and dependency courts. His work has earned recognition, including being voted “Best Attorney in Long Beach” in 2022. He has appeared on Justice Hour and the National Child Safe Show, where he advocates against systemic injustices in child welfare. Through his experience, compassion, and trial skills, he remains a trusted advocate for families across Southern California.
