Kirk J. Angel is an experienced employment lawyer with a career focused on resolving complex workplace disputes. His legal work centers on protecting employee rights while advising employers on compliance matters. Kirk earned his B.A. Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina, Asheville, with a major in Philosophy, along with Distinction as a University Scholar and Distinction in Philosophy. He later completed his M.A. at the University of Tennessee, Major: Philosophy. He then earned his J.D. in 1997 from the University of Tennessee College of Law, Knoxville, Tennessee.
Kirk began his legal career with a small firm in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he represented employees in employment law matters and handled personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. This early experience built a strong foundation in client advocacy, legal analysis, and courtroom practice across a wide range of employment-related disputes.
Kirk later served as a Trial Attorney for the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in the Charlotte District Office. In this role, he managed litigation and conducted investigations throughout North and South Carolina, gaining in-depth knowledge of federal employment laws and enforcement procedures affecting both employees and employers.
Kirk focuses his practice on employment law matters involving wrongful firing, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, harassment, and FMLA issues. His work reflects a practical understanding of workplace challenges, helping clients navigate disputes with clarity while pursuing lawful, efficient, and results-driven resolutions.
