Kira Lin Abernathy

Kira Lin Abernathy, Esq., is the founder and lead attorney of Your Law Firm, P.C., a Georgia-based practice built on people-first legal representation. Since beginning her legal career, she has focused on criminal defense, family law, and traffic matters, helping clients navigate complex legal challenges with clarity and care. Her work centers on protecting clients’ rights while keeping their goals and long-term outcomes at the forefront of every case strategy.

Kira earned a B.B.A. in International Business from the University of Georgia – Terry College of Business. She later completed her J.D. at the University of Georgia School of Law. In addition, she participated in a full-immersion academic program in Japanese Language and Literature at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, expanding her analytical and cross-cultural communication skills.

Kira trained under experienced mentors in criminal defense, family law, and traffic law after law school and passing the Georgia Bar. That experience prepared her to open her own practice and manage cases from start to finish. As lead attorney, she develops legal strategies tailored to each client’s situation, ensuring that every case receives focused attention and practical guidance rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.
